Yolanda Altagracia Bravo Martinez , de 87 años, de Bergenfield, NJ, falleció el 23 de junio de 2024. Nació el 19 de julio de 1936 en Jicome Esperanza, Valverde, República Dominicana.
Yolanda fue profundamente devota a su familia. Le sobreviven su querido esposo Gregorio Bravo, sus hijos Mario Bravo, Nancy Bravo, y Andrea Rodriguez. Le sobreviven también sus hermanos Daniel Martínez, Juana Martínez, Lucia Perez, Senaida Perez y Toñito Martinez, sus nietos Arelis Bravo, Christopher Bravo, Christelle Rodriguez, Michelle Rodriguez, Gregory Rodriguez, y bisnietos Aleeyah Maysonete, Ailani Rodríguez y Sergio Penalo Jr. Sus hermanos Siprian Martínez, Modesto Martínez y su hermana Ana Maria Sauer antecedieron su partida.
La vida de Yolanda se destacó por su compromiso con la familia y la fe. Se enorgullecía de ayudar a sus hermanos y sus familias a emigrar a los Estados Unidos, fomentando un legado de unidad y apoyo en su extensa familia. Sin embargo, su mayor logro fue criar a hijos compasivos, productivos y orientados a la familia.
En su tiempo libre, Yolanda encontraba alegría en atender el grupo de oración, jardinería, cuidado de plantas de casa, tejer, hacer punto de cruz y preparar su famoso flan. También fue una miembro y voluntaria dedicada en el Centro de Mayores de Edad de Bergenfield, donde su calidez y generosidad tocaron muchas vidas.
Yolanda era conocida por su trato amistoso y su genuino deseo de ayudar a los demás. Era una católica devota que encontraba consuelo y comunidad en su fe, asistiendo a misa los domingos con su querida amiga y vecina, Argentina.
Se realizará un velorio el jueves 27 de junio, de 5:00 pm a 9:00 pm en Boulevard Funeral and Cremation Services, 1151 River Rd, New Milford, NJ 07646. Una misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el viernes 28 de junio a las 10:00 am en la Iglesia Católica Romana de St. John Evangelista, 29 N Washington Ave, Bergenfield, NJ 07621, seguida de un entierro en el Cementerio East Ridgelawn, 255 Main Ave, Clifton, NJ 07014, aproximadamente a las 11:45 am o 12:00 pm.
Yolanda será profundamente extrañada por su familia, amigos y todos los que la conocieron por su bondad, fe y amor inquebrantable.

Yolanda was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving spouse Gregorio Bravo, children Mario Bravo, Nancy Bravo, and Andrea Rodríguez Bravo. She is survived by siblings Daniel Martínez, Juana Martínez, Lucia Perez, Senaida Perez, and Toñito Martinez. She is predeceased by her brothers Siprian Martinez, Modesto Martinez and sister Ana Marie Sauer. She is survived by grandchildren Arelis Bravo, Christopher Bravo, Christelle Rodriguez, Michelle Rodríguez, Gregory Rodríguez, great-grandchildren Aleeyah Maysonete, Ailani Rodríguez, and Sergio Penalo Jr.
Yolanda's life was marked by her commitment to family and faith. She took great pride in helping her siblings and their families immigrate to the United States, fostering a legacy of unity and support within her extended family. Her greatest achievement, however, was raising compassionate, productive, and family-oriented children.
In her leisure time, Yolanda found joy in Bible studies, gardening, tending to house plants, knitting, needlepointing, and preparing her famous flan. She was also a dedicated member and volunteer at the Bergenfield Senior Center, where her warmth and generosity touched many lives.
Yolanda was known for her friendly demeanor and genuine desire to assist others. She was a devout Catholic who found solace and community through her faith, attending Sunday Mass with her dear friend and neighbor, Argentina.
A wake will be held on Thursday, June 27th, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Boulevard Funeral and Cremation Services, 1151 River Rd, New Milford, NJ 07646. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, June 28th, at 10:00 am at St. John Evangelist's Roman Catholic Church, 29 N Washington Ave, Bergenfield, NJ 07621, followed by burial at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Ave, Clifton, NJ 07014, at approximately 11:45am.
Yolanda will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her for her kindness, faith, and unwavering love.
