Stephen C. Stahl

On August 22, 2022, Stephen C. Stahl of Oakland, NJ at the age of 62 lost his valiant battle with ALS.

Steve is survived by his wife Kellie Dougherty of 22 years, son Garrett and fiancé Melissa, daughter Chelsea and husband Blake Corrao, brother Chris and wife Connie, niece Jacqueline and husband Angelo McHorse and daughter Judy. He was preceded in death by his parents Larry and Judy Stahl.

Steve was born on August 21, 1960 in Hayward, California. His career was in retail for more than 40 years, but anyone who knew him knows his real passion was gardening, wildlife and animals. And, of course, he’s known for telling a great story and making everyone laugh, and his extraordinary creativity.

Steve adored his family and his beloved pets and nothing made him happier or prouder than spending a quiet day with his family outside in his yard and gardens. He will be forever loved and missed, and in our hearts always.

There will be a small service for immediate family members only. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the ALS Association in his name.
