Sara Elizabeth Jones

Sara Elizabeth Jones passed away peacefully at home in Teaneck, New Jersey on Sunday, February 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Winston, Georgia Sara was the cherished daughter of the late Lucille Birdsong and Hays Polk.

Sara was a devoted Christian who has helped numerous people in various ways. She was a wonderful wife and loving mother with a generous heart. Sara was a seamstress who loved to crochet, knit, sew, gardening as well as a fierce fisherwoman. She was a longtime member of the Teaneck Gardening Club and served as a Crossing Guard in her community for over 15 years after retiring from Citibank where she worked as a Financial Advisor for 25 Years.

Sara is survived by her beloved husband Albert Jones Jr. of 61 years, her loving sons Michael Jones and Sean Jones, her cherished siblings Myron, Francis, Elois, Lula Mae, Rufus, Aaron, Frank, and James as well as her adoring nine grandchildren and thirty one great grandchildren.

Sara Elizabeth Jones was truly an angel sent from heaven where she returned to watch over all of us. You will be truly missed.
