Rodolfo Garcia Abuedo

Rodolfo Garcia Abuedo entered eternal life on May 4, 2021 at the age of 92. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Valentina and his children Veronica and her husband Manuel, Richard and his wife Connie, Rod and his wife JoAnn, Rafael and his wife Elena, Vilma, Ramuel and his wife Beck, his 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Gregorio Abuedo and Crisanta Garcia, siblings Guadalupe, Agapito, Natividad, Violeta, Jose and his sons Ramon (Maryann), Rolando, and Ronald. 

Rodolfo was born in Cavite City, Philippines on March 2, 1929. He attended Arellano HS and briefly went to college at FEU in Manila. He worked as a truck driver at Ang Guan cardboard box factory in Manila and later went on to work at the Subic Naval Facility in Zambales (Olongapo City) where he received countless service medals while working at Subic Naval Base. But his greatest success and was raising 9 children with his wife who all finished college and went on to be professionals. He always prioritized education for all his children and always instilled hard work and honesty in everything. Rodolfo and Valentina recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on April 19,2021. It was a blessed and a beautiful one.

The viewing for Rodolfo will be on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at Boulevard Funeral Home in New Milford, New Jersey. The funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 9:30 am at Ascension Parish. Internment to follow after the mass where he will be laid to rest next at Garden of Memories in Washington Township, New Jersey.
