Rita Downs Obituary
Rita Downs was 90 years old when she passed away, Sunday, February 9th, 2025. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Rita moved to New York City as a teenager. Her family would later settle in Dumont where she lived most of her life. In 1963 she married Daniel "Danny" William Downs. Her favorite song was Danny Boy.
Rita is predeceased by her late husband Danny and survived by her son Paul Downs and her sister Anna Farrante.
A prayer service will be held in the Chapel of the Garden of Memories, Washington Township at 1:15 pm on Wednesday, February 12th. Friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:30 pm and proceed to the Garden of Memories.
