Phyllis A. Casey

Phyllis A. Casey was 83 years old when she passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City to Francesca and Felix Samartino, Phyllis was raised in Paramus. Phyllis would later raise her family in New Milford where she lived for many years before retiring to Clearwater, FL with her late husband John E. Casey, Jr. She worked as a waitress and bartender at multiple area restaurants and catering facilities prior to retiring from the Bergen County Animal Shelter.

Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband John E. Casey, Jr. (2012). She was the loving mother of Russell Thorne, Randall Thorne and his wife Denise, Andrea Thorne, and Richard Thorne and his wife Karyn. Phyllis was the devoted stepmother of John E. Casey III, Colleen Marsilio and her husband Anthony, and Maureen Loyola. She is the cherished grandmother of Jessica Cueman and her husband Matthew, Jenna Thorne, Michael Thorne and his wife Lidisi, Philip Thorne, Danielle Thorne, Giuliana Ramos, Angelina Ramos, and our “Angel" Jack Thorne. Loved by her step-grandchildren Dylan Loyola, Jesse Loyola, Adam Loyola, Montana Marsilio, and Anthony Marsilio. Phyllis was the dear great-grandmother of Poppy Cueman, Ethan Thorne, Emmett Thorne, Oliver Loyola, and Sophia Loyola.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford on Monday, November, November 25th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm. The following morning a funeral service will be offered at the funeral home at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tomorrow’s Children Fund  in memory of Jack Louis Thorne @ www.TCFKID.org
