Peter Lombardi

In loving memory of Peter Lombardi, age 54 of Maywood, New Jersey passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Peter was born in Moiano, Italy, the seventh child of his adored parents Angela and Vincenzo Lombardi.

As a young child, he immigrated with his family from Italy in search of a better future, carrying with him the values of hard work, faith, and family that would guide his life forever. 

Peter was a devoted father whose love for his children knew no bounds. Nicholas, his firstborn, whom he adored and took great pride in from the very beginning. Angela, his forever princess, held a special place in his heart and was loved with endless tenderness. Michael, his lookalike, reflected so much of Peter’s spirit, strength, and presence. And Vincent, his baby boy, was cherished deeply and loved beyond words. Each of his children were a blessing, and loving them was Peter’s greatest joy.

He was a cherished brother to Anna (Vito), Luigi (Darel), Alberto  (Clementina), Frank (Maria), Pasqualina (Giuseppe), and Antonietta (Enrico), and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. His favorite memories included going on the annual Ocean City vacation with his cousin Anna, best friend Silvio, and their girls. Family was Peter’s foundation, and his life was deeply rooted in those bonds.

Peter is also lovingly remembered by Danielle, his former wife, with whom he shared a deep commitment to raising their children together. He is fondly remembered as well by his former in-laws, Ottavio and Lisa, who remained an important part of his extended family.

Peter moved through life with ease and no stress, choosing joy over worry and laughter over heaviness. He loved to eat, and “eggplant parmigiana” was his favorite dish. He loved to dance and to watch football. He had an endless passion for movies and seemed to know everything about them—especially the Star Wars saga, where Chewbacca was his favorite character. 

At parties, he loved to make long speeches and share stories with warmth and humor. He took great pride in his landscaping business, Lombardi Landscaping, finding fulfillment in honest work and a life well lived.

Above all else, Peter loved his children. That love defined him and remains his greatest legacy—a life lived fully, and with an open heart. 

Though he is deeply missed, his spirit lives on in the calm he brought to others and in the memories that will be cherished forever.

A funeral Mass will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 21st, at 11:00 AM at Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 69 Valley Street, Hillsdale, NJ 07642
