It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Peter M. Hanczaryk, aged 76, on Friday, May 1st, 2026.
Born in Leeds, England, Peter was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a man of many passions and adored by his dogs; he enjoyed gardening and golf, playing poker and trips to AC. He played basketball in his youth, and always dreamed of learning to sail and surf. While he settled in a home by the bay in South Jersey, his heart was always in sunny Florida.
Peter is survived by his cherished granddaughter, Shailynn; his daughter, Jaime, and her husband, Matthew; his step-son, Bob, and his wife, Nancy; his brother, Steve; his nephew, Michael; and his niece, Laurel. He is also survived by his first wife and friend, Susan. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann, and his parents, Kataryna and John.
While words cannot describe our sadness, we take comfort in the beautiful moments Peter enjoyed recently: spending time at the park with Shailynn, driving to the shore for his favorite pizza, winning $100 in the lottery, and sharing many meaningful phone calls with his loved ones.
Honoring his wishes to spare his family a formal service, Peter requested a private cremation. In time, we will host a small gathering to remember and honor his life.
Peter will be remembered for his immense kindness and generosity. In lieu of flowers, and if your heart desires, please consider planting a tree in his memory or making a donation to the charities he supported faithfully:
