Pennygreen Doris Snyder was 89 years old when she passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in San Pablo, Philippines Pennygreen would later receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Manila Central University, Philippines. After completing her education, Pennygreen immigrated to the United States with her clothing, $50 in her pocket and the nursing degree she earned to make a new life for herself. In the early 1960’s Pennygreen began working at Columbus Hospital in New York City which would later become Cabrini Medical Center. It was at Cabrini Medical Center that she would have a long fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse. Pennygreen was a great cook and avid gardener. Active in her community, Pennygreen was a parishoneer of the Church of the Ascension in New Milford and the a member of the Filipino American Society of Teaneck.
Pennygreen was the daughter of the late Henry Otto Mueller and late Rosario Dayap. She was predeceased by her late husband Thomas Snyder. Pennygreen is survived by her loving daughter Elizabeth Zadroga and her husband James and a son Percival Buxhoveden, his wife and their 2 children. She is survived by her cherished siblings Frederick Mueller, Albert Mueller, and Lana Slonsky. Pennygreen was predeceased by her brothers Henry and Wallace Mueller. She was the devoted grandmother of Sarah Linnehan and her husband Ryan Libby and Thomas Zadroga and the adoring great grandmother of Kaylee and Cassidy Libby. Pennygreen was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, NJ on Sunday, June 9th from 1 pm to 5 pm. The following day, Monday, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her memory in the Church of the Ascension, 256 Azalea Drive, New Milford at 10 am. A private cremation will follow.
