Oscar A. Dubon was 66 years old when he passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 5th. Born and raised in Honduras, Oscar came to the United States at the age of 17 settling in Englewood, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood where he was named a State of New Jersey 1972-1973 VIP Star Soccer Player. Oscar went on to attended Bergen County Community College. He would later enjoy a career as a Chemical Technician for over 45 years before retiring in 2018.
Oscar was predeceased by his late parents Domingo and Maria Dubon as well as his late in laws Raymond and Louise McPeek. He is survived by his beloved wife Cathy (nee McPeek) Dubon with whom he was with for over 50 years. Oscar is the loving father of Lynn Martinez and her husband Harold, Daniel Dubon and Matthew Dubon and his wife Tarra. He is the devoted brother of George Dubon and his wife Isabelle, Norma Dubon, Martha Falcone and her husband Jose, Ruth Goodin and her husband John and Domingo Dubon, Jr. Oscar is the cherished grandfather of Davis Martinez, Sophia Martinez, Londyn Blu`Dubon and Lincoln Dubon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attending visiting hours on Sunday from 3pm to 6pm in the funeral home. Due to the global pandemic attendance will be limited and social distancing is required, please plan accordingly. The following day, Monday, a Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Cecelia's Church, Englewood at 11am. Burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
