Mildred Lattanzio

Mildred Lattanzio was 96 years old when she passed away Friday, September 29th, 2023. Born in Grier City, Pennsylvania, Mildred was raised in Manhattan and later moved to New Jersey. She was a Barbizon Model, retiring at the age of 32 to raise her three children. Mildred loved to read, take trips to the casinos,  spend time at the New Milford Senior Center where she played bingo and enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mildred was predeceased by her late husband George Lattanzio in 1985 and her grandson David John Vacirca in 2015. She is survived by loving children Rose Marie Vacirca, George Lattanzio, and Gina Lattanzio. Mildred is the cherished sister of Joahanna Santarelli and Helen Sampogne. She is the devoted grandmother of Melissa Manente, Erica DeYoung, the late David Vacirca, Sherrie Comitz, and Brittany Brower as well as the great-grandchildren Maurissa, Matteo, Brandon, Madison, Jeremy, Jackson, Peyton, and Lucas.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 1151 River Road, New Milford on Monday, October 2nd from 4 pm to 8 pm. The following day, Tuesday, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am in her memory at the Church of the Ascension, 256 Azelia Drive, New Milford. A private burial will follow.
