Miguel A. Chavez passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 4th, 2021. He fought a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer with the love and support of many.
Born in San Miguel, El Salvador, Miguel immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 and settled in New Milford where he has lived since 1996.
Miguel would later meet his wife Georgina when the two were working at Englewood Hospital Medical Center together were a week shy of celebrating 30 years married. Miguel has been employed as a carpenter with the Sterling Cole group of Lodi since 2003. He was always a hard worker and believed in a strong work ethic.
Miguel was a huge sports fan and loved playing and watching soccer. He loved landscaping and gardening and loved maintaining the backyard. He loved simple things like cookouts, painting and made the best chocolate pancakes you’d ever have.
Miguel is survived by his wife, Georgina; daughters, Ari (29) Ashley (23) Kevin Chavez; (26) his mother Blanca Trejo, brothers; Alcides Antonio Asturias Trejo, Aliro Asturias Trejo, Jose Luis Trejo and sisters; Mirna C. Chavez and Nancy Trejo-Rivera.

A live stream will be available tomorrow from 5 pm to 8 pm for those who can not be in attendance.
