Marlen Mikhail Obituary

Marlen Mikhail was a woman whose life reflected love, grace, and strength from beginning to end.

Born on April 11, 1956, in Jerusalem, Palestine, to Hawa and Issa Kittaneh - Marlen carried with her the richness of her heritage and the warmth of a heart that made room for everyone she met. She passed away in Paramus, New Jersey on April 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and resiliency that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her life was a testimony to the power of compassion, the dignity of perseverance, and the beauty of living with purpose.

Marlen was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her steps and shaped the way she loved others. She believed in showing up with a generous spirit, offering encouragement, and making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her words, often gentle and sincere, carried the kind of reassurance that could lift a heavy heart and remind others that hope still lives in the midst of life’s hardest moments.

Marlen found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved shopping, going to the salon, going to Atlantic City, and spending time with her beloved family and friends. These moments were never ordinary to her, because she knew how to cherish them. She understood that life is made meaningful not only by milestones, but by shared laughter, meaningful conversations, and the comfort of being surrounded by those you love. In those everyday joys, Marlen revealed a heart that knew how to celebrate life with gratitude.

She will be lovingly remembered by her Husband, Isaac Mikhail, and by her sons, Mark and Michael Mikhail. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Victoria Mikhail, who shared in the love and family bonds that Marlen held so dear. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her sisters, Samira and Arlette Kittaneh, and Mary Gabrael, as well as her brothers, Albert and John Kittaneh - along with her many nieces and nephews. Each of them carries a part of her story, and each of them will continue to feel the lasting impact of her love, her generosity, and her selfless spirit.

Those who knew Marlen will remember that she was loving, generous, and selfless, with a fiery spirit that you could not ignore. These were not just words that described her, they were the way she lived. She gave freely, cared deeply, and loved without condition, and was never afraid to speak her mind. Her life reminds us that the greatest influence is often found in the quiet acts of kindness that touch hearts and change lives.

As we remember Marlen Mikhail, we celebrate a life well lived and a soul that blessed many. Her journey on earth has come to an end, but the light she shared remains. Let her life speak to us now. Let it remind us to love more deeply, to give more freely, and to always have the courage to be true to yourself. Let it encourage us to live with open hands, faithful hearts, and grateful spirits. Marlen’s legacy is not only in the love she gave, but in the lives she uplifted. And that legacy will endure, strong and beautiful, for generations to come.
