Marilyn Ritter

Marilyn Ritter (nee Mattera), 77, of New Milford, passed away Sunday, December 15th, 2024. Born in Richmond Hill, Queens, Marilyn moved to New Milford in 1957. She graduated from Vermont College with a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology and would go on to work many years as a Medical Technologist in the healthcare field. Marilyn was an active member of the Bergen County Twin Mothers Association, the Red Hat Society as well as a First Class Girl Scout.

Marilyn was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, John Peter Ritter, her children: Michael (Kellie), Lisa (Terri), and Thomas (Denise), her grandchildren: Samantha, Jason, Erik, Aiden, and Logan. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Crosbie (Bill).

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 1151 River Road, New Milford this evening, Tuesday, December 17th. A funeral service will be offered in the funeral home the following morning, Wednesday at 10am with entombment to follow at Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Washington Township, NJ.
