Marie Theresa Oberst

Marie Theresa Oberst (nee Fallon) of New Milford was 94 years old when she passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024. Marie was born and raised in New York City, where she had very fond memories. She worked as an office worker for the New York Telephone Company where she met her husband, Robert. She was a long-time resident of New Milford where she was a homemaker and a volunteer for a variety of organizations. She was a devout Catholic and for many years was an active member of her retirement and church communities. Marie was a quiet, patient, and honest person with a sharp Irish wit and stubbornness. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed sewing, crafting, and entertaining. Chocolate was her absolute favorite, especially Mallomars.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Robert and dear son Robert Jr. Survived by her loving children: her son John and his wife Mickey, daughter Theresa and her husband Nick, daughter Jeanne and husband Robert, daughter Mary Barbara and husband David.

Proud grandmother to Kevin and his wife Lesley, Laura and her husband Joey, Andrew and his wife Kayla, Cory, Brandon, Nicholas, Colin, Michileen Marie and fiancé Kyle, Jessa, and three adored great-grandchildren Olivia, Peter, and Matthew.
