On behalf of the Janso family, we would like to celebrate Marianne Janso (nee Staiger). Marianne passed away peacefully on October 16, 2022 surrounded by loving family. She was born in Stuttgart, Germany on January 14, 1938.
Marianne moved to the United States on her own at the age of 17 and lived in Brooklyn, New York with family members. She met her husband Emil while attending night school.
She lived in New Milford, New Jersey with her husband and four children. Marianne was predeceased by her parents, Karl and Maria Stagier, her husband Emil, her daughter Stephanie Kirchner and her brother Egon. She is survived by her daughter Christine and her husband Thomas Henze, her son Kenneth and his wife Traecie, and her son Jeffrey and his wife Suzanne as well as her beloved grandchildren, Jake Janso, Eric Kirchner, Jenna Janso and Evan Kirchner.
She was a generous, compassionate, competitive, stubborn, and resilient woman who lived life to the fullest. She loved her family, tennis, hiking, and animals. She was very active in her church and volunteered at Hackensack Medical Center for many years.
A gathering to acknowledge her wonderful life will be held at the Boulevard Funeral Home at 1151 River Road in New Milford, NJ. Visitation will be Thursday October 20, 2022 from 4-8 pm and funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will be held at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus at 11:15 am.
