Manuela Esmeralda Apolo

Manuela Esmeralda Apolo passed away Sunday, October 17th, 2021 at the age of 82 surrounded by her loving family.
Manuela was born in Milagros, Ecuador. She was the proud mother of 9 children - Pepe (deceased), Wilson, Joffre, Jimmy, Edgar, Johnson, Julian, Ginger and Edison. Manuela emigrated to the United States with her 4 younger children to join her husband, Jose, in NYC in 1970. Two years later they were able to bring their other 4 children to the states, with the youngest son, Edison being born in NYC. While Jose worked 2 full-time jobs, Manuela maintained the household through hard work and sacrifice, all to take care of her children. She loved her friends and family dearly and will be tremendously missed by all. She was a true giant who loved to get dolled up and dressed up pretty.

Manuela is survived by her beloved husband Jose R. Apolo of 65 years, her 8 surviving children and 12 loving grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, October 19th from 4 pm to 6 pm in the funeral home.
