Manuel Tecson Sta. Maria, 74, of Teaneck, New Jersey, passed away on December 29, 2021
Manny or Eng was born on March 15, 1947 to Maximo & Amelia Sta. Maria in Dinalupihan, Bataan. His immediate siblings are Maximo Jr., Fernando, Alberto, Eduardo, and Aurora as well as Leonardo, Cynthia, Boyet, Bong, Michael, Rico and Edna.
In 1970, Manny met Celia Ang. They got married and went on to have 3 children, Dennis Lorenzo, Bernadette and Alicia.
Manny was well known to be the family singer ‘aka Elvis Presley’ as he can be heard singing karaoke in the neighborhood. He spent a lot of his time fishing, cooking his famous Patatim, and was an avid gun collector. Aside from being a street smart person, he invented many household gadgets. He made his own spearguns and baits for the big fish. He was always dressed to kill for night-outs, well-groomed hair with pomade and wore strong-scent perfume that lingered on where he was a few hours more. He was a man with contagious laughter and can entertain you with his fascinating stories very well.
Manny is survived by son Dennis, his daughters Bernadette “Didi” and Alice, and his grandchildren (Dylan, Aly, Adrian, Aiden, Madison, Adam and Kyle).
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, from 3:00pm-5:00pm. It will also be viewed livestream. A private interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Heart Association, an organization Manny felt strongly about.
