Lenore Montalbano of New Milford was 90 years old when she passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024. Born and raised in Long Island City, Lenore would go on to receive her Bachelors of Nursing from Queens College. She had a long and rewarding career in nursing with Holy Name Medical Center, Englewood Hospital, and Bergen Regional Medical Center where she served as the head Nurse in the psychiatric unit treating children. Lenore was a great cook and avid reader who loved music and traveling.
Lenore was the loving mother of the late Charles Harte and late Philip Harte and survived by sons Patrick Harte and Michael Harte and his fiance Denise. She was the cherished sister of the late Anthony Montalbano and survived his wife Anne, the late Saverino Montalbano, and survived by Maryellen Ferricane and her husband Richard. Lenore was the devoted grandmother of Jennifer, Philip, Michael, Conor, and Catherine. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and her dear cousins Rosalie and Jacqueline.
Friends and relatives will be invited to attend a memorial visitation at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, NJ on Wednesday, August 28th from 4 pm to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TB 38105, or by visiting www.stjude.org
