Joseph A. Veniero

Joseph A. Veniero was 90 years old when he passed away peacefully Thursday, February 16, 2023. Born to Constantino and Carmella Veniero in Jersey City, Joe spent most of his life living and working there. After learning the business from his Uncle Tony, he founded and operated the Veniero Lock and Safe Company in Jersey City with his brother Salvatore. The business has continuously operated since the early 1960's. They earned the respect of their colleagues and community for their professionalism and the quality of their workmanship. Joe was always happy to talk and many of his  customers came in for both the keys and the conversation. 

Joe was a man who put his family first and was always there when they needed him.  He enjoyed his time with them on the water in his boat or just in the yard. He will be greatly missed.

Joe was predeceased by his wife Ann in 1982, his sister Christine Benko, and his second wife Josephine Amico. He is survived by his loving children Dr. Joseph C. Veniero and his wife Dr. Marianne Veniero, Vincent Veniero, Paul Veniero, and Joann Veniero. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Caroline and Joseph J. Veniero and his devoted brother Salvatore L. Veniero.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 1151 River Road, New Milford, NJ on Thursday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated in his memory the following morning, Friday, at 10 am in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 691 West Side Avenue, Jersey City. Joseph will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
