John Aversa Obituary

John E. Aversa a beloved husband, father, uncle, friend and brother was 67 years old when he passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. Born in New York City, John was raised in Washington Heights and would go on to graduate Power Memorial Academy. He has been a resident of River Edge for the last 37 years. He played football and softball, loved to fish, cook and entertain. John had a big sense of humor and loved nothing more than to make people laugh. 


John was predeceased by his parents Edward and Florence Aversa. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Patricia M. Aversa,  his daughter Christina "his Chrissy" Aversa, his son Edward Aversa and his wife Gabriella, his brother in law Robert Muldoon, his sister in law Carol Muldoon, along with all of his cherished friends, especially his best friend Mia. John was predeceased by his late brother Eddie Boy. 


Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. The following day, Wednesday, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in his memory in St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 445 Fifth Avenue, River Edge, NJ at 10am.
