Jocelyn "Lola" Valdez

Jocelyn Valdez was 18 years old when she passed away on April 30, 2021. Born in Puerto Rico, but raised in the Bronx, New York. Jocelyn was known as “Lola” by her family and friends.

Lola had a passion for pursuing cosmetology. She wanted to open her own business, as she was embarking on creating her own lipstick and eyelash line. She also enjoyed cooking, working, dancing, and spending quality time with friends and family. She carries the ability to brighten up any room she enters and put a smile on anyone’s face. Lola was easy going, humorous, and down-to-earth.

Jocelyn leaves behind her beloved parents Juan Valdez and Cery Velez. She also leaves behind her loving brothers, sister, nieces, nephew, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, NJ on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 10 am-12 pm. Following the viewing, we will lay Lola to rest in Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY at 1pm. For those who are unable to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 10 am-12 pm, a live stream will be available on the webpage beginning 10am.
