Jayantkumar "Jay" M. Zaveri was 88 years old when he passed away peacefully at home in Paramus, New Jersey surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jamkhambhaliya, India, Jay came to the United States in 1959 to study Nuclear & Structural Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he would go on to earn a Masters Degree. During his career, Jay was part of the design of many distinguished projects including the Veranzano Bridge, Three Mile Island and the Niagara Falls Tower. After completing his engineering career, Jay went on to purchase Budget Printing Center in Teaneck, where he continued to work for many years. He had many hobbies,but he especially enjoyed piloting gliders.
Jay is survived by his beloved wife Sarla of 58 years. He is the loving father of Shilpa Cunniffe and her husband Denis, Paras Zodiatis and her husband Alexander, his dear brother Pravin Zaveri and is the cherished grandfather of Meena, Neil, Owen, Kiera, Sophie and Lily.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford on Wednesday evening from 6 pm to 9 pm. Private cremation services will be held on Thursday August 18th at Rosedale Crematory 408 Orange Road Montclair,NJ 07042. For those who are unable to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday evening, a live stream will be available from 6 pm to 9 pm by visiting www.boulevardfuneralhome.com.
