Janet R. Ghiosay

Janet R. Ghiosay of Roswell, GA, formerly of New Milford and Clifton, NJ, passed away at the age of 90 on Monday, February 8, 2021.  Janet was born in New York City, raised in Palisades Park and was a graduate of Cliffside Park High School.  Janet went on to become a Barbizon Model and then continued in Sales in the Better Women Fashion Industry in New Your City for many years.  She loved the City and loved attending Broadway shows and enjoying the many other cultural events the City offered.  She also took great pride in her three grandchildren and could always be found in attendance for all of their sporting and scholastic activities.  Janet spent her last several years in Assisted Living facilities in both New Jersey and Georgia where she always participated in a variety of activities and provided the staff and other residents with many laughs.  Her faith was very important to her and she loved nothing better than singing along with her favorite Bible hymns.

 Janet is survived by her loving son, Todd Ghiosay and his longtime soul mate, Nina Nilsson, of New Milford, NJ and her devoted daughter, Gwen Kievit and her husband, John of Woodstock, GA.  She is the cherished grandmother of Christopher Kievit and his wife Ashley, Jamie Kievit and Jenna Ghiosay.  In keeping with current health guidelines funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers the family request that donations to either Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (www.mskss.org) or Operation Smile (www.operationsmile) in her memory.
