James Chiavetta

James Chiavetta was 77 years old when he passed away Monday, January 1, 2024. Born and raised in Brooklyn, James was a resident of New Milford, New Jersey before settling in Fuguay Varna, North Carolina for the last 18 years ago. James was a graduate of Erasmus Hall High School, Brooklyn. He would later attend the Maimonides School of Radiology where he graduated with honors. James worked at Beekman Downtown Hospital for over 20 years as the Supervisor of the Emergency Room  X Ray Department. It was at Beekman Downtown Hospital that he met the love of his life, Eileen P. Green, who was a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgery Department. James was always friendly to everyone and happy to help others, he put his abilities to work as a longtime member of the New Milford-Teaneck Elks Lodge #2290. During his many years of service, James served on numerous committees and positions including as a past Exalted Ruler. 

James was predeceased by his parents Angela (nee Aloi) and Frank Chiavetta. He is survived by his loving wife Eileen P. (nee Green) Chiavetta.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, January 7th from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in his memory the following day, Monday, at 10 am in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, New Milford/Oradell.
