Hilda Margoth Uribe

Hilda Margoth Uribe was 77 years old when she passed away at home in Bergenfield surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 8th. Born in Apia, Colombia, Hilda immigrated to the United States in the 1960's where she lived with family in Englewood, New Jersey. It was there that she met and married the love of her life Mario Uribe, they later married in 1972. Before retiring, Hilda worked for Hoke Inc. in Cresskill for over 30 years. She was a devout Catholic and a passionate parishoner of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Bergenfield. She loved her faith and was a member of the Legion De Maria but what brought Hilda her greatest joy was helping family and friends become citizens of the United States of America.

Hilda was the beloved wife of the late Mario Uribe and the loving mother of her son Mario Uribe and his wife Claudia. She is survived by her cherished sisters Flover Zapata, Ruby Restrepo and her brother Conrado Zapata. She was predeceased by siblings Ignacio Zapata, Adiela Mungia, Jaime Zapata, Gonzalo Zapata and Blanco Prieto. She is also survived by her in laws Javier and Andres Sepulveda.
