Helen Frank

Helen Frank (nee Franco), age 95, of New Milford passed away peacefully Monday, December 19th at home. Born in Jersey City to Louise and Anthony Franco, Helen was the youngest of their four children.  She was a resident of New Milford for over 42 years. 

After high school, she worked as an executive secretary for MGM and Westinghouse for 14 years.  On May 9, 1959, she married the late Vincent T. Frank and remained his beloved wife for 61 years until his passing.  They had four children together. 

After the birth of their children, Helen focused on raising her children while also supporting her husband’s law career.  She typed up his law assignments on note cards so he could study.  After he became an attorney, she continued her support of her husband’s career by typing legal documents.  Once her children were grown, she cared for her elderly parents until their deaths and then returned to work in the accounting department at Fairleigh Dickinson University from which she retired. 

Upon her retirement, Helen devoted her time to cooking, baking, watching the Mass, saying the Rosary and reading various books and papers on many topics. She remained conversational of current events and active until the day of her passing, leaving behind a final batch of cookies in preparation for Christmas. She is survived by her four children, three grandchildren, a great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.   

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at the Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ at a later date. Entombment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah where she will be laid to rest.
