Gregory Neil Smith

Gregory Neil Smith of New Milford was 61 years old when he passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023. Born in New York City, Gregory, known to his friends as G Pants, lived most of his life in New Milford. After graduating New Milford High School, Gregory went on to attend the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and later graduate Dover Business College. He worked as a Computer Technician for CSX Railroad for many years. G Pants loved his family and friends, coffee , cigarettes and music. He played in several rock bands as a younger man. 

He is survived by his loving mother Linda E. Serbouti, his devoted brother Richard Govan and his wife Susanne, his cherished nieces Lauren and Marissa Govan, and dear first cousins Linda Higginbotham, Leslie and Nancy Banyard, and Jonathan and Kim Banyard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 pm to 9 pm. The follow day, Saturday, everyone will gather at 11 am in the Garden of Memories Mausoluem, 300 Soldier Hill Road, Washington Township.
