Genoveva Iguban Lipata

Genoveva Iguban Lipata of New Milford was 91 years old when she passed away Friday, May 19th, 2023. Genoveva was one of eight children born to Apolinar Lachica Iguban and Emiliana Mutos Malumay in Aklan, Philippines. During her life in the Philippines, Genoveva experienced the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War II and went on to work as a clerk for the postal service in the Philippines. At the age of 62 Genoveva would immigrate to the United States to make this her new home.

Genoveva was predeceased by her late husband Arturo Lipata in 1985. She is the loving mother of Maricu Peralta, Jeffrey Lipata, Arturo Lipata, Arthur Lipata, Jose Protacio Lipata, the late Emely Lipata Rabin, Gennilyn Lipata Buenaventura, and the late Michael Lipata. She is the cherished sister of Rizalina Iguban-Peralta, Carmelita Iguban- Paredes, Jose Malumay Iguban, Juanita Iguban- Flores, Jesus Malumay Iguban, Marcelino Malumay Iguban, and Mary Iguban -Billedo She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, New Jersey on Saturday, May 27th from 2 pm to 5 pm. A funeral service will be offered at 3:30 pm in the funeral home. For those unable to attend a live stream will be available by visiting www.boulevardfuneralhome.com on Saturday at 3 pm.
