Obituary

Gary Tapio Visti was born on May 9, 1959 in Port Arthur, Ontario, Canada to Finland natives Eino Matti Visti and Eila Sinikka Visanen. Gary was fluent in Finnish and immigrated to the US at a young age. He spent several summers in Finland as a young boy.

He grew up in Brooklyn, NY and spent most of his life in Hackensack, NJ. He is predeceased by his parents Eino and Eila and stepmother Sara Bakal. Gary is survived by his two daughters Christina Brissette and Sheena Guevarra, grandchildren Olivia Brissette and Javery Guevarra, sister Rita Visti and brother Roy Visti.

Gary was a proud father and grandfather. He loved his daughters and affectionately called himself "Pops." Gary was able to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren before his passing. He had the biggest smile on his face when he saw his grandchildren and said that they remind him of when his own daughters were young. Gary had a difficult life but had a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all those who loved him and those he made smile.
