Gary Rappo Sr. Obituary

Gary S. Rappo Sr. of New Milford was 70 years old when he passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Gary lived most of his life in New Milford. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Bruce Springsteen fan, but above all else he just loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Gary worked for over 40 years with Quest Diagnostics before retiring. 

Gary was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Madeline Rappo as well as his brother Steven Rappo. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Ann (nee Yelk) Rappo. Gary is the loving father of Gary Rappo Jr. and his wife Danielle, Jamie Rappo and her wife Kaytee D'Amico, Kristin Becker and her husband Glen, and Michael Rappo. He is the cherished poppy of Ashley, Autumn, Jordyn, Jack, Savannah, and Noah. Gary is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Susan (nee Yelk) and Al Goddard, and his late brother’s wife, Cheryl Helbig.  Gary also leaves behind his four-legged best friend Levi.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 1151 River Road, New Milford, on Monday, November 24th from 3 pm to 7 pm. The following day, Tuesday, a prayer service will be offered in the funeral home at 10 am. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
