Eugene J. Romano

Eugene J. Romano was 94 years old when he passed away on Friday, August 11th surrounded by his loving family. Eugene was born in New York City, NY.  He moved to New Milford in 1969 with his wife, the late Marie Romano where they raised their family. Eugene served in the Army and was a Korean War Veteran before he went on to work for the New York City Department-Water Supply in the Bronx as a foreman for many years before retiring. He was an avid golfer and NY Yankees fan. 

Beloved husband of the late Marie Romano (née: Tirico). Devoted father of Karen Martino and her husband Richard and Lisa De Norsciaand her husband James. Proud grandfather of Gina Martino, Michael Martino, Alyssa Fiorelli and her husband Mark and Nicholas De Norsciaand great grandfather to Francesca Christine Fiorelli.  Dear brother of the late Philip Romano, Mae Santorelli, Edward Romano and Ann Romano.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives in the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The following morning, Wednesday, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Ascension, New Milford at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus
