Elnora Cristi-Gordon passed away Tuesday, June 1st at age 63 surrounded by her loving family. Born in San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines, Elnora was a graduate of Saint Paul's College in Quezon City, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. She came to New York City in 1978 and worked on Wall Street at Solomon Brothers as an Associate Analyst. She went on to join Barnes & Noble at their New York City Headquarters as a Risk Management Analyst, and stayed there for the remainder of her career. An accomplished Philippine and Flamenco dancer, Elnora was a member of the Lahi Philippine dance company based in New York City in the early 1980's. Her friends from the dance company became an important part of her circle of friends. Elnora was also a talented singer, and trained as a Broadway vocalist for many years. Through her lessons, she met her husband of 22 years, Glenn Gordon, who was her pianist and vocal coach. They married in 1998, and eventually settled in Bergenfield, New Jersey with their beautiful daughter Samantha.
Elnora is predeceased by her parents Felino and Felicitas Cristi, her sister Veronica Jane Cristi and brother Florencio Cristi. She is survived by her beloved husband Glenn C. Gordon and her daughter Samantha Gordon, as well as her brothers and sisters: Elvira Cristi, Wilfredo Cristi, Marilyn Santos, Brando Cristi, Bernadette Kricheff Flor Ann King, Eric Cristi, brothers in law Tony Santos, David Kricheff, sister in law Bhaby Cerulla Cristi, and nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Cathy, Cristin, Marc, Rhea, Jeffrey, Mitzi, Sarah, Seth, Cristian and Kevin.
A gathering of family and friends will be at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, New Jersey 07646 on Sunday , June 6th from 10:00am to 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00pm . A Funeral Mass will be held in her memory on Monday, June 7th 9:30am at the Church of the Ascension, 256 Azalea Drive, New Milford, NJ 07646.
Cremation ceremony will be held in private .
