Ellen P. Tamuzza

Ellen Tamuzza, 68, of New Milford, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, on October 14, 1956, Ellen lived a life defined by devotion—to her family, her work, and the things she loved. She was the beloved wife of Vincent Tamuzza, with whom she shared 32 wonderful years of marriage. Ellen was a devoted mother to her daughter Danielle and her husband Nick, and a proud and doting grandmother to her two granddaughters, Caia and Baela, who were the light of her life.

Ellen began her professional journey at the young age of 16 with APA Transport. Through hard work and dedication, she rose to become Accounts Payable Manager and remained with the company for over 35+ years. She later brought her experience and grace to NY Waterway, where she served in the same role until her retirement in 2018. Her retirement allowed her to focus on what she cherished most—caring for her granddaughter Caia.

Ellen had a deep love for her home and family. She took great joy in decorating her house, tending to her many plants, and could spend hours peacefully working on puzzles. Her strength, warmth, and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband Vincent; her daughter Danielle Blake and son-in-law Nick Batkhishig; her cherished granddaughters Caia and Baela; her sister Georgette Salerno and her husband Lou Salerno; and her beloved nieces and nephews George Saltmach, Louis Salerno, Patricia Salerno, Anthony McCauley, Courtney Tamuzza, Gregory Tamuzza and Michael Kaiser; her sister-in-law Toni Tamuzza; and her dear aunt and uncle Josephine and Joseph Tamuzza and their son Vincent.

 She was predeceased by her brother James Jones, her sister Linda Kaiser, and her niece Tammy Martinez.

She was the beloved daughter of the late George Bloom and Patricia Klein.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, June 11th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, New Jersey.

Ellen's family and friends will miss her deeply and remember her always for her gentle spirit, her enduring love, and the beautiful home and heart she created.
