Elizabeth "Betty" Kennedy

Elizabeth “Betty” Kennedy (nee Crowley) was 77 years old when she passed away Wednesday, January 10th. Born and raised in the Bronx, her family moved to New Milford where she lived most of her life before retiring and down to Ortley Beach, New Jersey. She loved living near the water, surrounded by wonderful neighbors, friends, and family. Betty worked at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for over 30 years before her retirement. She was an avid fan of the Yankees and the Jets, live music, and Elvis. 

Betty is survived by her loving children; Steven Kennedy and his wife Carol, Sharon Hayes and her husband Stanley, Robert Farney and his wife Marcia and James Kennedy and his wife Carol. The devoted grandmother of Taylor, Morgan, Jennifer, Dylan, Jessica, Dominick, and Daniel, and doting great-grandmother to DJ Farney. Betty is also the cherished sister of Patricia Wood. 

Visiting hours will be held at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, on Monday January 15th from 10 am to 12 pm.  At 12 pm a prayer service will be offered in the funeral home. Entombment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research  Hospital or New Milford Fire Company #2.
