Elena Ng Pit Faustino, New Milford, joined our good Lord on, October 22, 2023, Sunday the afternoon. She suffered a massive heart attack.
Elena, or Ellen, was born on November 04, 1940, in Lipa City, Philippines, to Epifania and Guillermo Ng pit. She is the 3rd child of four siblings, Felino, Coleta, and Ruben Ng pit. After graduating high school, she studied and graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Lipa City Colleges.
After graduation, Elena served for 40-plus years at Balete Public School, first as a teacher and later on as its principal. She took her "master's degree" while teaching, paving the way to be named the school's principal. During this time, Elena instituted many policies that not only promoted modernization in her district's teaching but included renovation of the schools and its facilities but, most of all, caring and reaching out to the poor children of her schools. She not only persevered in seeking governmental aid but involved religious organizations in bringing relief and medication to the poor communities of her district throughout her career.
Elena is survived by her seven children, Fernando, Frederick, Paul John, Pamela, Elmer, Francis Jr, and Ella Faustino. There are 15 grandchildren and a great-grandson: Jepoy, Tintin, Jelo, Mutya, Otot, Arielle, Adrian, Papat, Elaine, JJ, Dominic, Abby, Gengis, Pia, Elise, and Chiyo. Even as a single mom, with the help of her mom, Epifania, her sister Consuelo, and Elena's youngest brother, Ruben, she raised and managed to send all her children to private school. Through her hard work, perseverance, and strong will to succeed and provide, all her children have graduated from private colleges, some with dual degrees in healthcare.
We will miss her greatly. Elena is passionate about teaching, but her hobbies are reading various books in fiction and nonfiction. Mom loves to sing as well, especially in church. She loves to travel.
But Elena's pride and joy is serving God and caring for her children. A great deal of her life has been devoted to providing for her seven children's needs, their education, and their success. Later on, that maternal instinct would transfer to her 15 grandchildren and one great-grandson. The rest of her days are then spent in prayers for everyone and serving God. We all think of our moms as heroes. Elena, a single mom who has endured and succeeded in raising, nurturing, and imbuing faith in God in all her seven children, 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandson, deserved mention. Our hearts will always be heavy with sadness over the loss of our mother, but we are glad that you have finally joined our Lord and our ancestors in their heavenly home.
We will miss you very much, Mom!
