Edward C. De Yro

We share with you the profound love and deep sorrow of our beloved patriarch, Edward “Daddu” Calubaquib Deyro. He peacefully passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 67, surrounded by the love of the family he so lovingly and carefully created.

Edward was married to the love of his life, Marie May Audrey Melad Ventura-Deyro, and he raised three wonderful children.

He dedicated his life as a compassionate Registered Nurse at Bronxcare Hospital in Bronx, New York.

Edward “Daddu” Calubaquib Deyro is lovingly remembered by his family, who were the very heart of his life: his devoted wife, Marie May Audrey Melad Ventura-Deyro, his constant partner and greatest source of strength; and his three cherished children, Kimberly Marie, Edward Deyro, Jr., and Kelly Marie, who were the pride and purpose of all he did. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, Elvira, Edna, Edmund, Elmer, and Errol, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and bonds of love.

Above all, he was the devoted husband whose love was a constant, steady flame. He was the father whose presence was our greatest security and whose pride in us was his silent reward. He showed us that a man’s true strength lies in his capacity to love unconditionally.

His most treasured role was that of “Papa Daddu.” To his children, he was pure magic—a source of endless, loving affection. In his eyes, they saw their most perfect reflections. The memories made in his lap and all around our home are treasures they will cherish forever.

Daddu’s legacy isn’t in titles or awards, but in the quiet moments that make a family. It’s in the warmth of our shared meals, the sound of his laughter and loud voice in our halls, and the certainty that we were, and always will be, his everything. He created a haven of love where each of us always felt at home.

The family will gather in private to celebrate a life filled with love. In his memory, we hope you spend time with those who matter most, just as he always did.
