Dr.Leo A. Dela Cruz, age 57 , long time practicing Geriatric Psychiatrist in New Jersey, loved by everyone who knew him, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, time 2:26pm at Holy Name of Teaneck, New Jersey.He was affiliated with Christ Hospital and was a Carepoint Health physician.He was born Dec. 13, 1962 in Cebu City, Philippines to Drs. Jose and Welihada Dela Cruz. Leo is survived by his mother, 9 siblings, 18 nephews and nieces.He had only one sister here in US, Cherrie Ciron who is presently residing in Arlington, Texas.The rest of the family is in the Philippines.

Leo was known to be very generous and kind, loved to served his community. He enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, and entertaining his friends. He played the piano for Sabbath worship at Jersey Heights SDA Church. A loving son, every year he went home to visit his mother to celebrate her birthday and visited his father's grave.He took pride with the accomplishments of his nephews and nieces, He was the life among his circle of friends and colleagues, to mention the SWU-MHAM '86. . He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be planned in Cebu City, Philippines.
