Concetta "Tina" DeLucia was 77 years old when she passed away suddenly Thursday, October 20, 2022. She was born in New York City, but spent most of her life as a resident of New Milford. She began her career as a history teacher at Saddle Brook High School. Tina went on from there to get her law degree at Rutgers Law School and eventually became a partner in the law firm of Kaps and Barto. She finished out her career as a sole practitioner. Tina was an active member of her community having served as a Councilwoman for the Borough of New Milford from 2001 to 2009. She participated as a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Milford Library as well as a member of the New Milford Planning Board. Tina was an active parishioner with the Church of the Ascension, serving a Lector at the 12 noon Sunday Mass for many years.
Tina was predeceased by her late parents John and Anna DeLucia. She is survived by her cousins Paul and Eileen Galizio and their family and Robert Galizio and his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford on Monday from 3 pm to 7pm. The following day, Tuesday, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her memory in the Church of the Ascension at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at the Hackensack Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tina’s honor to the New Milford Public Library, 200 Dahlia Drive, New Milford, NJ.
