Carri Lenino

Carri (nee Jessen) Lenino, age 84, of Dumont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in New York City, Carri’s life was marked by her love for family and dedication to her work. In 1959, she met and married her husband, Patrizio (Danny) Lenino. Carri proudly worked for New York Bell Telephone Company for many years before retiring from Dial America. Even in retirement, her passion for helping (and feeding) others continued when she returned to work as a lunch aide at Bertrand F. Gibbs Elementary School in New Milford, NJ.

Carri was predeceased by her beloved husband, Patrizio, in 1994. She found her greatest joy in being a devoted and loving mother. She is survived by her children: son Danny Lenino, son Darren Lenino and his wife Margaret, and daughter Desiree Lenino. Carri was deeply loved by her sister Alma Palecek, and was predeceased by her brother Henry Jessen and sister Evelyn Lehnert, all of whom she cherished dearly. 

A proud and adoring grandmother, Carri leaves behind her three grandchildren: Nicole, Hailey, and Patrick Lenino. Carri also had a special place in her heart for her pets. She is survived by her granddogs, Niko and Neha, and her grandcat, Bugatti. Her beloved dog, Nebbie, and granddogs Nava and Nuk predeceased her.

Visitation will be held at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, on Wednesday, February 19th, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Kew Gardens, Queens. Family and friends are welcome to join in remembering and celebrating Carri’s life.
