Barbara Richmond

Barbara Richmond of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey was 62 years old when she passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023. Born in Havana Cuba as the Bay of Pigs Invasion was underway, Barbara's Mother would later flee Cuba with Barbara and her siblings to begin a new life in New York City. Unfortunately, Barabara's Father Jose Gomez, was imprisoned by Fidel Castro's forces and was never released from prison. Barbara would go on to earn a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in Agriculture and Horticulture. She worked in the Jersey City Jail and later went on to become an Administrator at Queens Hospital. Barbara was a ferocious reader of English mysteries and an avid animal lover. 

Barbara is survived by her loving brothers Jose Gomez and his wife Lexa and John Gomez and his wife Roberta Whitley Gomez.

Friends are relatives are invited to attend a memorial gathering at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford on Thursday, July 27th from 11 am to 12 noon, At 12 noon a prayer service will be offered.
