Auria Aquino, 59, of Bergenfield, NJ went home to be with our Lord on January 18, 2021. Auria was born in Manhattan, NY on July 27, 1961 to Cruz Lopez and Juan Rivera. In and out of foster care, Auria spent her childhood years between New York and Connecticut. She graduated Crosby High School in 1980. She went on to graduate the Allen School for Physicians Aides in 1982. Auria worked many years in the medical field as both a medical assistant and medical office manager. She took pride in helping the sick and wore her heart on her sleeve.
Auria was beautiful free spirit who loved to spend time at the beach, reading a good book, and gardening. She was a godly woman who believed in the power of prayer and started every morning reading her bible with a good cup of coffee. Above all, Auria valued family and was such a loving woman she had a way of making everyone feel like family. Often Auria would take spontaneous trips and loved experiencing new things. From her encouraging words to her warm hugs, Auria surely will be missed by many.
Auria survived by three daughters, Jezzel Davies, Joarrie Higgins, and Jolisa Martinez; five grandchildren, Damian, Cecelia, & Dexter Davies; and Leila & Landon Higgins, and her beloved Bichon Frise Snoop. Auria preceded in death by her sister Carmen Acevedo, and her brother Johnny Rivera, and survived by sisters Carmen Rumley, Maria Rivera, Adela Otano, Helen Brown, Ivette Sesenton, and Yvonne Sanchez.
Services to say farewell to Auria will be held at Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Saturday Jan. 23, 2021 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. For those unable to attend, a live stream of the services will be available by clicking the link below at 4:00pm. Please remember to post your condolences on the tribute wall to let the family know your are thinking of them. Due to the current pandemic, the funeral home is limited to 50 people visiting at one time, please plan your visit accordingly.
