Victor D. Robles of Dumont was 87 years old when he passed away Thursday, October 11th surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lima, Peru, Victor came to the United States in the 1960's. As a young man he loved to play soccer, box, and fish. In 1970 he met his future wife, Nelly Zegarra, they later married in 1972. Victor proudly helped to bring his brothers and sisters to the United States. He worked as a Lithographer for many years before retiring. In his retirement he returned to work in the produce departments of ShopRite and Pathmark.
Victor is the beloved husband of Nelly (nee Zegarra) for 46 years, the loving father of Leonard Zavala and his wife Erin, Mariela Anderson, and Victor D. Robles and his wife Christina. He is the cherished brother of Oscar Robles, Luis Robles, Amanda Tello, Carmen Bobadilla, Bertha Romero, and Yolanda Castro. Victor was predeceased by his sisters Lidia Mendoza and IIda Torres. He was also survived by his cherished grandchildren Branden, Alex, Heather, and Olivia.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in his memory on Tuesday at 11am in ST. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 280 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ. Flowers may be delivered directly to the church.
