Timothy Daniel Sullivan was 56 years old when he passed away Sunday, August 12th. Born in the Bronx, his family moved to New Milford when he was 6 years old. Timothy lived in New Milford for most of his life before settling in Bergenfield in 1998. He worked for the DPW of Dumont for many years and most recently as a crossing guard in Bergenfield. Everyone who knew Timothy knew that he loved trains, all kids of trains; freight, commuter and model trains. Timothy had been honored by the Borough of Bergenfield for actually stopping a train and preventing a serious accident from occurring. He was also a member of numerous area train clubs and societies. He is survived by his father Philip James Sullivan and his mother Elizabeth Christina (nee McCarthy) Sullivan as well as his sisters Veronica Capone and Mary Sullivan and a niece Christina Capone. Timothy was predeceased by his brother Patrick Sullivan. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday from 4pm-8pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday morning at 9:30am at the Church of the Ascension, New Milford.
