Shirley Jones Obituary

Shirley M. Jones an avid Yankee fan and member of the New Milford Historical Society, was 69 when she passed away suddenly April 19th. Born in New York City, Shirley was raised in Fort Lee later settling in New Milford. She attended Englewood Cliffs Community College and received her teaching degree from Jersey City State College. Shirley was retired from a career spanning 35 years with the Paterson Board of Education teaching K thru 8 and specializing in crisis intervention. She is survived by her sister Lillian Collazo and her husband German as well as her brother Anthony Ventura and his wife Lisa. Shirley is the Aunt of Germain Collazo, Jennifer Garcia, Alyssa Ventura, and Oriana Ventura. She leaves behind her loyal cat Eddie. Funeral services are to be announced.
