Norma Hoffmann Martin (nee Thoresen), a resident of Dumont since 1969, was 82 years old when she passed away Wednesday, March 7th. Born in Jersey City, Norma grew up in Weehawken. In 1956 she married Karl-Heinz Hoffmann of Germany, together they raised two children, Karen Widuch and Paul Hoffmann in their Union City home. The family later moved to Dumont in 1969 where Heinz passed away in 1974. Norma worked as a distribution Analyst for Porsche at Volkswagen of America in Englewood. She would later go on to work at Spectrum for Living for several years before retiring. Norma is survived by two sisters Helga McGilp and Linda Suarez, her children Karen and Paul, and grandchildren Jon-Karl, Erik, Alex, Kristin, and Morgan and her great granddaughter Braelyn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday from 4pm to 8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford. A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday morning 10am in the Funeral Home. Burial to follow George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
