Muriel Ayres Andreson passed away on March 14, 2013 in Paramus, NJ. Mrs. Anderson was born in the Bronx, NY in 1922 and is survived by her two sons, John & David & grandsons, John Jr. and David Jr. She was predeceased by her husband David Sr. Mrs. Anderson spent many years of her life working as a registered nurse. She was a Fordham University graduate and worked for the American Red Cross aboard ships during WWII, where she met her husband, who was a Commander in the U.S. Navy. Although Mrs. Anderson ultimately lost her ability to hear, she worked at major NYC hospitals for decades. She also valued her education and continued her studies at Fordham to receive a 2nd degree in Philosophy. She was a devoted Roman Catholic and never missed a Sunday Mass, even when she was challenged by serious health problems. She often told her sons "the Lord will never give you a cross heavier than you can carry." Muriel will be missed by her family. She will be buried at St. Raymonds Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
