In Memory of Juan Henry Heron

Juan Henry Heron, age 71, of Englewood Cliffs, NJ passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 27, 2019. Born in Medellin, Colombia, he was the son of the late John Henry Heron and Adelfa Vargas Montoya de Heron. Beloved husband of Derly (nee Cuervo) for 42 years and devoted father of Catherine Carpenter and her husband Shawn, Carolina Armenti and her husband Joseph Jr., and Isabella Heron. Cherished grandfather (“Ito”) of Sofia, Olivia and Jack. Adored brother of Jane Botero de Heron and brother-in-law Elkin. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Resfa Cuervo Bermudez and his loving in-laws along with 12 nieces and nephews. Juan, known by his family and friends as Hero, immigrated to the United States in the early 70s in search of the American Dream and worked tirelessly to provide the best for his family. Juan cared deeply for humanity and took pride in helping others. He was the life of the party and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church in Englewood, NJ on Tuesday, July 2nd at 6:30 pm.
