James "Jim" F. Sweeney

James “Jim” F. Sweeney was 79 when he passed away Sunday April 22nd. Born and raised in Chelsea, Jim moved to West York in 1960 before settling in New Milford where he has lived since 1978. He was employed as a truck driver most of his life. After retiring from trucking, Jim went on to work for ShopRite Liquors for many years. Jim was predeceased by his late wife Barbara (nee Hevican). He is survived by his loving children James Sweeney, Brian Sweeney, and Kelly Garcia. Jim is the brother of Joseph Sweeney and the cherished grandfather of Alexis, Tyler, and Timothy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visiting hours at the Funeral Home Wednesday morning from 10am- 12 noon. A prayer service will be offered immediately following at 12 noon. Entombment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the New Milford Volunteer Ambulance Corps., 213 River Road, New Milford, NJ, 07646.
