Alfredo G. Tampol

Alfredo "Fred" G. Tampol was 90 years old when he passed away Thursday, November 22nd. Born in Carigara, Philippines he was most recently a resident of Bergenfield. Fred came to the United States in 1945. It was upon his arrival to the United States that he enlisted into the United States Merchant Marines where he served until 1964. It was during his service that he met and married Patricia while sailing to India. They later married in 1959. After leaving the Merchant Marines he went on to a career with Sealand where he worked as a crane electrician until his retirement in 1990. He is the beloved husband of Patricia (nee Fitzgerald), the loving father of Richard G. Tampol, Christopher S. Tampol and his wife Norma, and Gordon M. Tampol and his wife Sandra. Fred is the devoted brother of Julian Tampol and Materno "Matt" Tampol. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Charlotte Tampol, Mossimo Tampol, and Paris-Madison Tampol.
